If this news about the one-time "Two And A Half Men" dream duo had come out just a few days earlier, everyone would have thought it was an April Fool's joke! But at the moment everything indicates that the former brawlers Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre are doing another series together – namely "How To Be A Bookie", which is to be created for the American streaming service Max. Although Charlie Sheen will only be playing a recurring supporting role and therefore one shouldn't expect a new sitcom in the style of Two And A Half Men, even 15 days later we still can't quite believe the news! Why not? Well, let's just look back at what happened (or should have happened) to Charlie Sheen on the set of the hit sitcom "Two And A Half Men" in the last few months: And you have to keep in mind: Chuck Lorre is not just any random series creator who absolutely needs Charlie Sheen to finally land another hit. On the contrary: Chuck Lorre has been THE king of sitcoms for a number of years! His more recent mega hits include "The Big Bang Theory", "Young Sheldon" and "Mom". So why is Chuck Lorre going to work with Charlie Sheen again? Apparently he really has to believe that his former friend has actually turned a corner in recent years... Incidentally, the new comedy series How To Be A Bookie is about a veteran Los Angeles bookmaker (played by Sebastian Maniscalco) whose business is threatened by the prospect of legalizing sports betting in the United States. Also in supporting roles alongside Charlie Sheen are Omar J. Dorsey, Andrea Anders, Vanessa Ferlito, Jorge Garcia and Maxim Swinton. However, a start date for “How To Be A Bookie” has not yet been set. *The link to the Amazon offer is a so-called affiliate link.
